Welcome to the official website of Team FMJ 4462 – Full Metal Jackets. The First Robotics team in Roane County, TN. Our team is comprised of students and teachers from schools in Roane County. We have a year round program that centers on our team’s motto, “We Build More Than Robots. We Build People!”
What is FIRST?
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) is an international youth organization that operates the FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Lego League Jr., and FIRST Tech Challenge competitions. It is the world's leading, youth-serving, non-profit organization that advances STEM education. Each year through the FIRST Robotics
FIRST
Competition, volunteer engineers, high school students, and community members join together to build a robot that will perform specific tasks . Through this building process student’s brainstorm, prototype, design, and create such a robot.. Our team was ranked the Third Highest Team in East TN, at the 2019 FIRST Robotics Competition.

2019 FIRST Robotics Competition
"Out of 52 teams from all over the United States plus one team from Canada and another from Germany, we were ranked 15th. In the East Tennessee we ranked 3rd. EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!!! Nice job TEAM FMJ!!!"
